The Dream Big Grow Here grant contest is an opportunity for Iowans to fulfill their dreams of self-employment or expansion of their current firm.  Entrants compete online for a chance to win a $5,000 regional grant, and then become eligible to compete for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize. DMACC Business Resources believes in creating a culture of entrepreneurism by supporting and recognizing regional small businesses. The Dream Big Grow Here contest enables DMACC to learn more about the region’s entrepreneurs while providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to promote either their proposed business or dreams for their current business. DMACC wants all area entrepreneurs to dream big and then grow their dream right here in the DMACC region.

Location: Indianola, IA

The Outside Scoop crafts small batches of premium ice cream in Indianola, Iowa. We currently use pasteurized milk from a large dairy to whisk up our from-scratch ice cream mixes. However, we are hoping to begin sourcing our milk from a single, micro dairy farm in central Iowa by the summer of 2014....
