The Des Moines Rehabbers Club is currently a loose affiliation of people with a common interest in renovation, preservation, and maintenance of historic Des Moines buildings. We will use this grant to help incorporate as a sustainable organization, sponsor renovation-related events and trainings, and advocate for reuse and renovation of historic buildings in Des Moines.

Let's work together to revitalize our urban centers by preserving historic buildings and renovating them not only to retain their character but also to acquire greater energy efficiency. Think about it as the ultimate recycling program! Renovation and preservation create green jobs to support sprawl reversal. As our economy contracts, more and more people will recognize the value of living where they can walk and bike to work and the grocery store. Go Des Moines!
