The grant money would go towards the purchase and customizing of a commercial vehicle. This would allow us to deliver with a single means of transportation, no longer using our two personal vehicles. Our goal is to save time, add efficiency and aid in the safe and secure transporting of our products. It would also be used to pull our trailer for both larger catering events and also as a lunch wagon at auctions.

Kitchen Sisters was founded by two sisters – Jackie Olsen and Sheila Roane in January, 2012. Our dream began with one wanting to leave the corporate life behind and the other her love of cooking.

Kitchen Sisters prepares food for any type of event in our licensed kitchen. All food is made from scratch to insure our signature homemade taste. Food choices are tailored to fit your event. We make anything from appetizers, main courses, side dishes as well as desserts. It is available for pickup or delivery. If your occasion requires, we also provide set-up, servers and clean-up as part of a full-service package.

After meeting with several funeral directors, we discovered a need for food at memorial luncheons. This gave us a starting point which has blossomed into corporate events, appreciation dinners, auctions and weddings to name a few. We have gained many customers and sales are up 117% year to date.

Kitchen Sisters is filling a niche for many surrounding communities and counties. Our products and services have met the needs of all ages. We pride ourselves in supporting local businesses whenever possible and champion many local churches, schools, charities and families in their fundraising events.

Our dream is only starting and we are amazed at the opportunities and delight in the customers we have served! It has allowed us to meet and interact with our community on a new level. The grant money would assist in the next step of our growth as we dream of building a business that not only serves our communities but adds jobs and value.
